Goa is considered to be a paradise for Sea food lovers and a lot of vegetarian people have apprehensions about food before travelling to Goa. Having lived in Goa for a little over an Year we have explored a lot of places to eat. Ashima is not fond of Sea food and avoids even chicken if she smells fish, So as it turns out we tried a lot of Vegetarian places in Goa! Though almost all the restaurants serving Non Vegetarian do serve Veg food and you can check the best ones here. but if you wish to go to some pure veg places that serve delicious food here are my picks of where you should head to:

Legacy of Bombay – Fidalgo, Panaji

As the name suggest this place specializes in Bombay street food. It also serves decent South and North Indian food. It has a sister restaurant next door, Bhojan, which is also veg and serves Gujrati and Rajasthani Thali
Must try – Crispy Threaded Paneer, Pao Bhaji

Navtara Veg Restaurant – Multiple Locations

Navtara Special Thali

You will have atleast 1 navtara in 30 mins drive from most touristy parts of North Goa. With outlets in Calangute, Mapusa, Porvorim, Panjim and Margao. Navtara is one place where pure vegetarian travelers can find respite in Goa. They serve North Indian, South Indian, Continental and fast food.
Must Try – Navtara Special Thali, Dosas

Bean Me Up – Anjuna

Bean Me Up - Anjuna

Bean Me Up has all the things that are uplifting: Yoga, Meditation, Soulful veg food and an amazing ambience. This place is seasonal and opens only from November to June.

Saraya Art Café – Chogam Road, Pehna de Franca

Saraya is one place that cannot be described in words. Taking a break from fast life is taken to a different level here, get soaked in art and nature as they take their time to make some amazing food for you. Service is slow, not because the staff is lazy but because this place has a vibe that says slow down and unwind. They open for lunch and dinner and yes they are closed on Wednesday!

TAAL Double Tree by Hilton – Baga

This is a fine dining place for vegetarians. If you are on a Honeymoon to Goa and are looking for pure veg options, do not miss this.
